There is no account to create, no email address to hand over, and no password to remember. Because there is no subscription, there is also nothing to cancel later. The trial does not convert into anything: when it ends, you decide what happens next.

The first time WhisprDesk opens, it offers a choice: start the 7-day free trial, or activate a license you already bought. There is no third step.

We ask for microphone and Accessibility access only so the hotkey and paste-back work on your Mac. By default, transcription runs entirely on your device: your audio and transcripts never leave your Mac, and we never receive them. If you choose to connect your own cloud AI key, your audio goes directly to that provider and never through us.

Nothing is charged, because nothing was ever on file. WhisprDesk locks until you buy a license, and your settings stay exactly as you left them. Activating later picks up right where you were. The details are on how the free trial works.

WhisprDesk is $24.99, a one-time purchase, yours to keep, with every update we ship for WhisprDesk 1. One license covers up to two Macs. Your license key arrives by email right after checkout, with a license file attached that activates the app in one step (see how activation works).

If it is not for you, every purchase comes with a 14-day no-questions-asked money-back window: email support@whisprdesk.com from the address you purchased with and we will refund it. The full policy is on the refunds page.

The app is signed by RBJ Global LLC and notarized by Apple, so macOS verifies the download before it runs. License checks go through Keygen and carry only your license key and a machine fingerprint, at most once every 24 hours. They never include your audio or your text.
